1. Scope and Provider

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the digital knowledge platform Library of Alexandria, accessible at video-library-of-alexandria.com and knowledgearchive.video-library-of-alexandria.com.

2. Services

Library of Alexandria is a subscription-based digital knowledge platform offering articles, educational content, and resources covering psychology, philosophy, and related fields. The platform offers two membership tiers:

3. Registration and Account

To access the platform, users must create an account by providing a valid email address and choosing a password. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity that occurs under their account.

Users must be at least 18 years of age to register. By registering, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete.

4. Subscription and Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method.

All prices are stated in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Prices may be subject to VAT depending on the user’s country of residence.

We reserve the right to adjust subscription prices with 30 days’ prior notice. Continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the platform until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

6. Right of Withdrawal (EU/German Law)

As a consumer residing in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason (Widerrufsrecht). The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us via email at thelibrarian.ofalexandria1@gmail.com with a clear statement of your decision to withdraw.

Please note: If you explicitly request that the service begins before the withdrawal period expires, and the service has already been fully performed, you lose your right of withdrawal.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Library of Alexandria platform, including but not limited to articles, texts, graphics, and design elements, is the intellectual property of Günter Lindemann unless otherwise stated. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and read the content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The content provided on Library of Alexandria is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional psychological, medical, legal, or financial advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Günter Lindemann shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the platform.

10. Availability

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues without liability.

11. Privacy Policy

The processing of personal data is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By using the platform, you consent to the processing of your data as described therein.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The courts of Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer protection law.
